Following up on the organisation of three successful webinars in the Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) region in 2023, the European Union will return on 22 June with a Webinar on EU Space capabilities and business opportunities in support of deforestation monitoring and traceability solutions in Colombia.
The webinar is scheduled to take place from 09:00 - 12:00 (GMT-5) | 16:00 - 19:00 (CEST) online. It will be an opportunity to discuss the applications of Copernicus, EGNOS and Galileo services in the sector of forestry in Colombia and the whole region.
More specifically, the webinar will provide a platform to decision-makers and representatives of the space industry in the EU and Colombia to discuss the new EU Zero Deforestation Regulation and the crucial role of the Copernicus infrastructure in advancing the EU-LAC Digital Alliance.
In a dedicated pitching session, EU space startups and SMEs will also have the opportunity to present their satellite-powered solutions developed to tackle the challenges related to forestry management.
